Mrs. Bier is a graduate of TheUniversity of Mississippi with a degree in Secondary English Education. She is currently teaching 8th grade ELA. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and watching Ole Miss football.

Ms. Blalock graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education (grades K-8).  She is one of the sponsors of the award winning Darlin Marlins dance team here at LMJH.   In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, watching movies, listening to music, and taking trips to the beach to relax!

Mrs. Deano is a graduate of Louisiana State University where she received a degree in Elementary Education (grades 1-8). Mrs. Deano has 10 years of teaching experience and this will be her first year at Monteleone where she will teach7th grade ELA and Science. When not at school Mrs. Deano enjoys, cooking, reading, bike riding, and spending time with her husband and three sons.

Mrs. DeSanti has been teaching for 40 years in all grade levels (K-). She graduated from Central Michigan University and earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UNO.  She earned the Reading Specialist certification from UNO and Gifted Certification from SLU. Mrs. DeSanti has taught in a range of public and private schools from rural Michigan to New Orleans. After moving to Mandeville, she served as a parent volunteer and PTA board member in St. Tammany Parish while her two children completed their schooling. Mrs. DeSanti enjoys traveling, has a passion for learning, and is always willing to try something new.

Ms. Fomby  is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a BA degree in history and English. She completed the Master’s of Education program and is certified to teach English, social studies, and ESL. Currently, she is teaching 7th grade ELA. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. Gunter is an Auburn University graduate with a degree in Secondary English Education. She has taught for over 20 years and has covered each grade from 7th -12th.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and watching Auburn Football. War Eagle!

Ms. Kelley is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and Arkansas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Middle School Education and a  Master's degree in Educational Leadership.    She has been teaching English Language Arts in St. Tammany Parish for six years. This is her second year as a Teacher Leader Advisor for the Louisiana Department of Education.  In her spare time, she enjoys trips to the beach and watching the Saints!

Melissa Knight is a University of Oklahoma graduate, with a degree in Special Education K-12.  She has a masters degree from Northeastern Oklahoma State University in Reading Education,  is a certified Reading Specialist, and has certification in Elementary Education (K-8) and Middle School Math.  She has taught for over 20 years in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.  Her idea of a perfect day would be spending time with her family,  eating Tex-Mex for dinner and reading a good novel!

Ms. McCray is a graduate of 
Louisiana State University 
and is currently in her 5th year of teaching. 
She has taught 8th  grade English her entire 
career, and she loves being able to share her 
love of writing and reading with her 
students. In her spare time she
 enjoys Crossfit, online shopping, spending
time with friends and family, and 
watching sports. She is also the 
LMJ Cheerleading Coach.

Mrs. Reis graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementarty Education, specializing in Upper Elementary. She has taught for 20 years and has been at Monteleone Junior High since it opened. Currently she teaches 7th and 8th grade ELA, as well as Reading Intervention classes for both 7th and 8th.  Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her 6 active grandchildren. She also enjoys the beach, outdoor concerts, family gatherings, driving long distances, and reading.

Mrs. Thompson attended Louisiana Tech University where she received a Bachelors Degree in Education. She has been at Monteleone since it opened and teaches ELA to 7th and 8th graders. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Thompson is also Student Assistance Team Chairperson, the 504 Coordinator and the Special Ed Chairperson.
