Mrs. Bier is a graduate of The University of Mississippi with a degree in Secondary English Education. She is currently teaching 8th grade ELA. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and watching Ole Miss football.
8th grade ELA


Ms. Blalock graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education (grades K-8).  She is one of the sponsors of the award winning Darlin Marlins dance team here at LMJH.   In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, watching movies, listening to music, and taking trips to the beach to relax!
7th grade ELA


Mrs. DeSanti has been a teacher for 34 years and is currently teaching gifted ELA and social studies. She graduated from Central Michigan University and received a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and her Reading Specialist certification from University of New Orleans. She taught grades kindergarten through ninth in a range of public and private schools from rural Michigan to New Orleans. After moving to Mandeville, she took time off from teaching to serve as a parent volunteer and PTA board member while her two children completed their schooling. Mrs. DeSanti enjoys travel adventures with her family, has a passion for learning, and is always willing to try something new.

7th grade ELA

Ms. Gunter is an Auburn University graduate with a degree in Secondary English Education. She has taught each grade from seventh on up and is quite happy to be with eighth grade.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and watching Auburn Football. War Eagle!

8th grade ELA

Ms. Kelley is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor's degree in Middle School Education.  She recently earned her master's degree in Educational Leadership at Arkansas State University.  She has been teaching English Language Arts for five years.  Additionally, she is coaching cheerleading.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and watching the Saints!

7th grade ELA

Melissa Knight is a University of Oklahoma graduate, with a degree in Special Education K-12.  She has a masters degree from Northeastern Oklahoma State University in Reading Education,  is a certified Reading Specialist, and has certification in Elementary Education (K-8) and Middle School Math.  She has taught for over 20 years in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and gardening.

7th and 8th Grade ELA
Ms. McCray received her
 bachelor's degree from 
Louisiana State University and
 is currently in her 4th year 
of teaching. She is certified 
in grades 4-8 ELA, but enjoys teaching 
8th grade and has done so 
her whole career. In her spare 
time she enjoys Crossfit, online 
shopping, spending time with friends 
and family, and watching sports.
8th Grade ELA
Mrs. Reis teaches 8th grade ELA and both 7th and 8th grade Math. She is also teaching a Leap class for both 7th and 8th. Mrs. Reis is a graduate of SLU. She has been teaching for 17 years and has been at Monteleone since it opened. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her 5 active grandchildren at the beach, the zoo, or the park. She also enjoys outdoor concerts, family gatherings,  driving and reading.
7th and 8th Grade Math and ELA
Ms. Thompson attended Louisiana Tech University where she received a Bachelors Degree in Education. She has been at Monteleone since it opened and teaches ELA to 7th and 8th graders. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Thompson is also Student Assistance Team Chairperson, the 504 Coordinator and the Special Ed Chairperson.
